Do not use it if you are in a high-risk pregnancy group, have pre-term contractions or a diagnosed risk of pre-term labor, have placenta previa or a risk of placental abruption, have vaginal bleeding, have an active herpes outbreak or another vaginal or sexually transmitted infection, are pregnant with multiple fetuses when the lower one is in breech presentation, or have undergone a surgical procedure in the perineal region.

What massage oil can I use with Perimom?

You can use any off-the-shelf unscented massage oil of your choice. We recommend you use our almond oil.

So Good I Recommend It To My Pelvic Floor Therapist

After trying another brand and having difficulty reaching my perineum and lots of discomfort in massaging, I decided to do some research and am so glad I stumbled on PeriMom. It's the perfect wand and oil duo. The thumb notch makes everything easy to apply as much pressure as you want (note: its only for use with the right hand). But there isn't sharp pains and the oil is such a clean product. Can't sing their praises enough. Now if I don't tear in labor, I'll be telling the world to buy here.

Very happy with it

It's very smooth and comfortable to use. Much more comfortable than fingers I would say! I use this tool when I want to do some stretching and massage and don't have anyone to help me. Instructions say that it can only be used with the right hand, but I haven't found this to be true.

I thought this would be a very painful uncomfortable gadget but it’s quite the opposite. It feels great to actually be able to do this massage on my own with no issues. Highly recommend.

Good for reaching rather than trying to us your hands

When you reach a certain point in your pregnancy it's going to be a lot harder to reach your private area, with just your hand. Using this tool gives you a better reach by extending your reach. You avoid trying to overextended or exert yourself trying to reach down there to do your stretches, in your private area, when you can't even bend over to tie your shoes. Very helpful in that area but until I give birth I won't know just how affective it will be. So I will be back for a later review!
